Peabody Plane Skids on Landing and Crash...

Hey All,

First of all on a different note, want you all to think about the elders
resisters at Big Mountain because they have been completely snowbound for the
last month. The unmaintained dirt roads are so muddy that they are impassable.
Many of you may not image the conditions out in remote Big Mtn. areas since
you live near paved streets and you have means to heat your homes. So, I ask
you to think of the elders and say a little prayer for them. I cannot even go
see my dad and help him because of having 'an ailing' truck myself which is
not good enough for the muddy-challenges.

Schools on Black Mesa are shut down because the of the roads. The Navajo
Nation has declared a state of emergency but I don't know to what extend these
relief aids are being distributed. However, we all know about the wacky,
global-warming weather that we are experiencing but this also makes it hard for
peoples that have to live off the land.

Peabody Coal Company has a large twin-engine, beech-craft cargo plane that
hauls staff personnel and necessary machinery parts. It makes its daily flight
to Flagstaff airport and today because of the muddy/snowy conditions, it
skidded on landing and crashed through a fence. This crashed occurred on Black
Mesa near the mine site. It is not known yet if there were injuries.

I am a person with a heart hence I've assisted elders and indigenous peoples
for over 30 years, but I have been always sick of this Peabody plane. It
flies over the Dineh resistance communities at Big Mountain everyday, and the
other constance fly-overs are by the BIA Law Enforcement surveillance plane. It
is certain that Peabody being the largest producer of coal in the world it
will have its cargo transport plane replaced soon.

Thank you for your time.

In the Spirit of Chief Barboncito,

Kat (the Bahe)
